argoTrackPilot – version 3.4
The new update for argoTrackPilot is available as of today for all our customers with an active maintenance contract. You will receive a notification directly on your TrackPilot display and can perform the update yourself. We have summarized the most important news here:
New feature: Lock warning
To prevent accidents at locks, a new function has been introduced that warns of approaching locks when the TrackPilot is active. This function consists of a two-stage warning system that issues alerts based on the distance to the lock (1300 m and 500 m) and escalates the initial warning to an alarm if there is no response. These warnings and alarms cannot be temporarily disabled or turned off, as they are a safety-critical feature. The lock warning is available free of charge for all our customers.

We strongly recommend that all customers connect the output of the argoTrackPilot’s acoustic warning to the ship’s alarm system. This is the only way to ensure a reliable alerting of the entire crew in case of an alarm.
Whether it’s a lock warning, a collision warning, or the watch alarm – the argoTrackPilot will never switch off automatically, even during critical maneuvers.
➞ Always take control in such situations.
Improvements:
– Added notification for expired argoSupport license when searching for updates.
– Vereinheitlichung der Warnungen und Alarme, die an den AlphaRiverPilot MFS gesendet werden.
