Argonics tests remote control on the ship Ernst Kramer as part of the FernBIN project

We were on board for the test voyage of the Ernst Kramer from July 6th to 7th. The ship started in Rotterdam and covered a distance of 46 km to Willemstad. During this trip, the first tests for sensor integration and remote control were carried out.

Our employees instructed the skippers in the use of the argoTrackPilot and also installed Starlink to ensure uninterrupted data transmission for the remote control. Tests of the remote control were then carried out together with the crew and the project partners.

Stefan Hoffmann, a colleague from Argonav, took care of the commissioning of the radar and ECDIS computer in the VeLABi remote control station of the DST in Duisburg, also during this period.
