A new pair of eyes for the Niedersachsen 22
The KoliBRI project is moving forward!
The KoliBRI project is moving forward! On July 13th we were at Niedersachsen 22 - in our luggage the Sentry, a product of the company SEA.AI. It is used for 360° environmental monitoring, using both optical and thermal cameras. It is supplemented by powerful internal processing and thus enables AI-based detection of obstacles.
The installation of the Sentry is one of the first field tests in the KoliBRI project.
KoliBRI stands for "Kollisionsvermeidung in der Binnenschifffahrt basierend auf Radar und der Integration weiterer Sensorik" (Collision avoidance in inland navigation based on radar and the integration of further sensor technology).
The project was approved in October 2022. The companies Argonics GmbH and Argonav GmbH as well as the KIT MVM Digital Process Engineering Group are research partners. The associated partner is HGK Ship Management.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to HGK Ship Management for the good cooperation in the KoliBRI project and of course to SEA.AI for the support during the project.
